Money Matters is Available to Read on the Santa Clara Library's website

Dean Moses' serial, Money Matters is available to read on the Santa Clara Country Library District's site.

Synopsis: Money Matters is the story of four individuals and their unique relationship with the money that bound them all together during the 1930s. The story opens with Edgar Evans, a Great War Veteran turned bank robber who plucks cash from around the country with incredible precision. Soon thereafter he encounters Ruby, a strong-willed prostitute who befriends Edgar in hopes of escaping her dependence on sullied income. Together they will be tormented by Felix, an African American who will go to any lengths to ensure that he will not become a victim of his time, and William Cawston, a Police Commissioner who will let crime run rampant as long as he gets his share of the action. Plagued by the war’s horrors, appalling flashbacks and the deaths of his friends, Edgar desperately attempts to fill his hollow soul with the money he so frantically craves, but thanks to Ruby he sees that he is not the only one running from a history he wishes he could forget. Can Edgar cling to his sanity with the help of his newfound companion or will his action packed lifestyle be his downfall?
